Seminars - Step 2
Time Frame and other Considerations
There are a number of things to consider while you are setting up to host a seminar. Addressing these items will aid your organization in understanding how our seminars run.
Seminar Length
For your convenience, a Skating Solutions seminar can range in length from half day to 3 full days. The length depends on what type of seminar you wish and how in depth you wish it to be.
| Length | Description (Examples) |
|---|---|
| Half Day | 2 hours on-ice, 1 hour off-ice* |
| 1 Day | 4 hours on-ice, 2 hours off-ice* |
| 2 Days | 8 hours on-ice, 4 hours off-ice* |
| 3 Days | 14 hours on-ice, 6 hours off-ice* |
* Rough guide only. Formats are negotiable. Also please note that because of the nature of our seminars, and our goal of maximizing learning benefit, we do not like to have the students learning for more than 6 hours/ day.
Dates
We are willing to participate at your seminar any time of year. However, to avoid dissapointment, we suggest a 3 month lead time for reserving the coaches.
Location
In organizing your event, keep in mind the facilities that you have available for use. We may need some items that need to be provided for our use, or a special room for lecturing.
Responsibilties
A Skating Solutions seminar is a joint effort between us and the organizing commitee, therefore, each party has certain responsibilites. For a list of these, please see FAQ's
